How coach ranking works
When you post a request to find a personal trainer, I Train With You sends it to 20 coaches at most. This page explains how these coaches are chosen and in which order (article D111-7 of the French Consumer Code).

In short
- The plan a coach subscribes to (free or paid) has no influence on the ranking or on the order in which coaches are notified.
- No coach can pay to be ranked higher.
- Only coaches whose professional profile has been verified can receive a request.
- You freely choose your coach. I Train With You connects you but is not a party to the contract between you and the coach.
Who can receive your request
A coach receives your request only when all these conditions are met:
- they work professionally and chose to receive requests;
- their professional profile is verified by I Train With You: valid sports educator professional card and professional liability insurance certificate, identity and SIREN number;
- they offer the session place you chose (at home, outdoors, at the gym or online);
- one of their service areas covers your area (100 km radius at most; not required for online sessions);
- they have not reached their usage limits: proposals included in their plan this month (3 per month with the free plan, no limit with paid plans), proposals waiting for an answer and number of clients.
These limits depend on the coach's plan. They can prevent a coach from receiving a new request, but they never change the ranking order of the coaches who receive it.
Ranking criteria
Eligible coaches are ranked with these criteria, by order of importance:
Distance (40%)
The distance between your area and the center of the coach's closest service area. The closer the coach, the higher the rank.
Goal (25%)
Coaches list the goals they work on. A coach working on your goal ranks higher; a coach with no declared goal is considered a generalist.
Availability (20%)
The share of your preferred time slots (days and times of day) covered by the coach's weekly availability.
Response rate (15%)
The share of requests received over the last 90 days that the coach answered (proposal or decline). New coaches get a neutral value.
On a tie, the closest coach comes first; if still tied, the order is drawn at random, differently for each request. Coaches are notified in this order.
How proposals are shown to you
Proposals are shown in the order they arrive, with the coach's hourly rate, availability and message. The "verified" badge only appears when the coach's verification is valid.
Data used and privacy
- Coaches see your first name, goal, session place, budget, availability, preferred start date and details.
- They never see your address: your position is rounded to about 1 km and they are only shown the city and a rounded distance.
- Your agreement to be contacted by coaches is recorded with the date and the version of the accepted text.
- The details and location of your request are erased 6 months after it closes.
