5 Steps to an Effective Program

1. Assess the Starting Point

First, carry out an initial assessment: fitness level, sports history, past injuries, concrete goals, and time constraints. This information guides all your decisions.

2. Set SMART Goals

Goals must be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time-bound. "Lose 5 kg in 3 months" beats "lose weight".

3. Structure the Progression

Plan your progressive overload cycles: increase loads, volume or intensity week by week. Progress should be steady — neither too fast nor too slow.

4. Build in Recovery

A program without planned recovery is doomed to fail. Schedule active rest days and deload weeks every 4 to 6 weeks.

5. Track and Adjust

Analyse your clients' feedback after every session. A good program evolves constantly based on real results.
